NZ Native Horopito & Kawakawa Balm with Antifungal properties

Created from New Zealand native plants specifically to support fungal skin conditions. Horopito & Kawakawa have anti-fungal properties,  & are handblended with NZ Native Kanuka. Use this balm on uncomfortable fungal growths on your skin.

Fungal conditions are usually caused by an imbalance in the body, often stemming from a gut imbalance. It's super important to address the underlying causes of your fungal condition and the body/gut imbalance. However this can often be a long, slow, tedious process, (no magic pill here sorry) and in the meantime that nasty fungal growth continues on your skin causing pain, itchiness and uncomfortable skin.
The ingredients in this balm will support the natural healing of the skin, and soothe the pain from inflamed skin, calm itchy rashes, and soothe broken skin.
However please remember to follow up with a complete holistic approach to address your fungal condition!

Horopito is a beautiful NZ Native plant, also known as the 'pepper tree', which is true if you taste it's spicy, peppery leaves. Local Maori traditionally use this plant for it's medicinal properties, especially in treating a wide range of skin conditions. The leaves were chewed and then placed onto wounds and cuts to aid healing. Research has shown that the natural polygodial in the Horopito has many potent medicinal effects. It has anti-fungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. Clinical trials have proven that Horopito is more effective at treating fungal conditions than prescription steroid creams. It's especially well known for killing the yeast infection Candida albicans which causes thrush.

Kawakawa is well known NZ Native plant, useful for all skin conditions including fungal, warts, ringworm & skin infections. It is used traditionally by the local Maori as a potent plant medicine, believed to cure almost any ailment. The bioactive molecules of Myristicin in Kawakawa are believed to be responsible for the plants healing properties, inculding it's anti-inflammatory & antimicrobial action.

Local Organic Beeswax gives a subtle, honey, sweet flavor whilst protecting the skin from damaging environmental factors.

Concentrated Essential oils include:

Tea Tree, well known as an antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial. It's believed to be the strongest antiseptic produced by plants, with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeast and viruses. It's well known for it's positive effect in treating fungal conditions such as ringworm, candida, athlete's foot as well as other skin infections.

Lavender is very good at treating any type of skin infection, with soothing properties that calm the skin. Lavender essential oil is often referred to as 'first aid in a bottle' due to it's effective use in so many situations.

New Zealand Native Kanuka Essential oil is a lovely addition to this balm with it's anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties.

Also with Eucalyptus & Peppermint Essential oils.

Directions: Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly (no harsh soaps or irritants). Once the area is completely dry, apply a small amount of balm and rub into the skin. Leave exposed to fresh air as much as possible and keep dry (fungal conditions love warm, moist places).
