Comfrey First Aid Balm
Apply to cuts, scratches, wounds & burns to speed skin healing, also to bruises, pulled muscles & ligaments and sprains to reduce inflammation and encourage the growth of new connective tissues.
Comfrey is also known as knitbone, for a reason. Herbalists advise not to apply comfrey to a deep wound, or broken bones, as it can heal over too quickly. Make sure to clean the wound thoroughly first, otherwise the skin will heal over with debris underneath that can causes infection.
Comfrey has unparalleled wound and fracture healing action, with much scientific evidence and studies to support this. It's been well known and well used throughout history as a premier healing plant especially for the repair of body wounds, it speeds the healing of cuts, ulcerations, bruises, broken bones, pulled muscles & ligaments, and sprains.
Also with the beneficial plant properties of:
Homegrown Yarrow which is used as an antiseptic to treat bleeding and deep wounds.
Homegrown Chickweed which has anti-inflammatory actions and also speeds healing of the skin.
Organic Beeswax from my best friend's hive in Paekakariki. You can't get more local than that!
Lavender Essential Oil which is commonly used to speed the healing of burns, open sores, & prevent infections.
Each balm is handcrafted from homegrown organic herbs which have been infused for a month in organic oils. Hand blended in small batches with seasonally available, fresh plant materials. No artificial preservatives are used, please keep your metal tin well sealed in a cool dark place and use within 12 months. The tin can be easily upcycled and reused once you've finished your balm.
