If you enjoyed the first workshop you attended with me, and want to learn more, then you’ll love this second ‘next level’ workshop, which delves even further into the world of edible wild weeds. This is the 'Intermediate' Edible Weeds Foraging Workshop which follows on from the Beginner's workshop.
Building on from our knowledge of sustainably foraging for weeds, we will discover yet more abundantly available edible weeds. Again, most of these will be found in your lawn, local footpaths, abandoned areas, farmland etc, and you will recognise yet more edibles around the neighborhood ! Let’s keep it local and keep it real. The world is filled with edible plants but lets really get to know the ones that are right on our doorstep.
If you’ve been making lots of edible salads & cooked dishes with your wild weed knowledge, and are ready for something more, or you’ve lost your mojo and need some new inspiration, you’ll be able to add even more variety, nutrition, medicinal properties to your diet & toolkit during this workshop.
While we’ll be learning about entirely new/different weeds to last time, we’ll still be focusing on confident identification, including lookalikes, nutritional & medicinal properties, medicinal uses, legends & folklore, plus how to actually prepare these in your meals.
This workshop is only open to those of you that have already attended one of my foraging workshops. We’ve already spent time discussing foraging basics, ethics & sustainable harvesting the first time around. This time we will dive straight into identifying more quirky weeds, and I don’t intend to be repeating any of the (must know) weeds that we’ve already covered.
